My good friend, and talented photographer in her own right, Louise asked me to photograph her wedding to Steve way back last year. These two are a beautiful, laid back couple with a gorgeous baby boy and I knew the day would be fab. It did not disappoint!!
We had a little engagement/ pre-wedding/ family shoot in Stroud a few weeks before the wedding. This is a great way for couples to get used to the camera and for me to see how people react to being photographed. Baby James’s frowning was an instant hit.
The big day itself was held in Bangor, N. Ireland (the bride’s home town) on a beautiful sunny day, always with the threat of showers though! Things started off with the groom for some getting ready shots, before heading to the bride and a very chilled house full of family.
After some emotional moments in the morning, off we headed to the Clandeboye Estate to catch a few shots of the waiting groom (and some late arrivals!) before the bride made her entrance. Check out the beautiful bouquets by talented florist and bridesmaid Sarah Holland and the array of gorgeous hand made paper stars by the groom’s mum.
Louise and Steve had a humanist ceremony led by the fabulous Michael McAlinden and a very special ‘tying of the knot’ symbolising their marriage, a first for me and a fab way to add a bit of drama! The sun shone for the confetti and group shots and special thanks to Karen from Clandeboye Estate for the big step ladder!!
And so to drinks and dancing, where even my own Mr Cobane features… thanks Louise and Steve for having me along to such a fab day!!
Wishing you both many happy years filled with laughter, fun, smouldering looks and snogs!!! xxx
